Welcome to Eagles' Class.

 

Our class teacher is Mrs Baker, who is also supported by Mrs Dunne on Mondays.

Summer Term 2 Newsletter.

Plumpton Farm Visit. 16/4/2024

Photos from our fantastic trip to the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester. 14/3/24. We took the train from Edale to Manchester Piccadilly, then jumped on the number 1 bus which took us directly to the front doors of the museum. The Operation Ouch Food, Poo and You exhibition was memorable!

World Book Day 2024 - Roald Dahl Theme. We had characters including an Oompa Loompa, Charlie, Mr Wonker, Danny The Champion of the World (pheasant too) Fantastic Mr Fox and of course Matilda and Miss Trunchbull.

27/2/2024 Fire Safety Session with Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service. The children were reminded about the main causes of fire and the importance of smoke alarms. We had LOTS of questions!

Class Newsletter January 2024.

23/1/2024. Celebrating African stories, art, song and dance with Bemma. Everyone had lots of questions and enjoyed a fantastic day.

8.12.23 Advent Treat - Hot Chocolate (with cream and marshmallows of course!) at our local cafe. Well done children for using excellent manners and being great representatives for our school.

6.12.23 Hare and Tortoise musical play presented by Buxton Opera House Productions. The children had a fabulous afternoon watching this reworking of Aesop's famous fable.

Meet our School Councillors. After hearing some inspiring pitches from the candidates we used a ballot box to cast our votes. Well done to our next councillors. Each house team is now represented by one of these four pupils. Mam Tor, Hollins, Lose Hill and Kinder.

Another inspirational visit from Andy Tooze (The Poet from The Peaks.) The children produced heart warming poetry on a theme of anti-bullying.
